This is a great sugar substitute in drinks, cereal, etc. It has a sugar taste instead of a chemical sweet taste. There is no bitter aftertaste. I grind it in the coffee grinder to make it dissolve more quickly in liquid.

I'm impressed with this 100% natural wood-based sweetener that actually has the look, feel, and taste of real sugar. No longer have to put unnatural chemicals into my body. I'd suggest reading the professional medical literature ie. Cleveland Clinic, that has so many good things to say about Xylitol—it's benefits, what it might do for you, etc. The key is to begin a regimen, slowly, to allow the body to acclimate itself to this new sweetener. For example, I used it only for a cup of coffee for a couple of days; then in coffee and as a sweetener, over blueberries in cereal. Gradually increase use, depending on individual needs. If used as a sugar substitute for cooking or baking, 1:1 is the usual ratio—BUT do not consume you cooked goods, with Xylitol, at one sitting, as instructed by most literature, as too much can upset the tummy (again, until the body acclimates over time). Xylitol is a wonderful substitute for sugar. Use it wisely and properly, and it will be very helpful to your system.
